Break in the weather

Woo HOO! Yesterday I had my first ride on my new bike. I decided to call her Ruby Blue. I am amazed how much faster and lighter the bike feels then my old cyclocross bike. It had been raining all afternoon and I was debating if I wanted to do the 10 mile ride. At 5:00 the sun came out. I got changes and hopped on the bike. I was having so much fun I rode 16 miles. I saw a couple herons along the Columbia River. The sun coming out between the clouds was beautiful. I had some pain in my knee so I will need to do some bike fitting work. I do not have a computer on the bike yet so I am not sure how fast I rode. I will install the new computer Friday before my Saturday Reach the Beach training ride. This will be one of many personal bests for longest rides. The ride is planned for 48 mile!

I forgot my phone so no pictures. I want to start taking pictures on each ride to show you some of the beauty of Oregon and Washington. I have been itching to get out on a mountain bike so might ride in Forest Park next Wednesday.
