Counting Calories

6 weeks ago I started doing something I have never done before. Count calories. I wanted to start this training at the weight I was a few years ago. I also thought it would be nice to have six pack abs again. Today I hit my goal weight. I have lost those 5 lbs. I used an app on my iPhone called Lose it! I had a diet of 1500 calories a day. I could eat more if I exercised. I entered everything I ate and all my exercise . I not only lost the weight I learned a lot about nutrition. My diet was not bad but it is now better. I also now feel I can eat better while on the road for work. I still had beer, fries, chocolate and ice cream. I just had to eat a little less and go to the gym to keep below daily calorie allowance. Right now my six pack is only a 4 pack. Maybe I will have those six pack abs in a couple months, for now I am happy I do not have the 12 pack in front of the six pack.
