It was nice to get a 21 mile ride in without it getting dark. I rode from the house to the top of Mt. Tabor. Mt Tabor is an extinct volcano plug. Portland is the only city in the lower 48 with an extinct volcano withing the city limits. You can see the view it great. Once I left Mt Tabor I headed to the Columbia river where I had a great view of Mt. St. Helen. It was very windy. The wind sock at the airport was flying high. Of course I was headed into the wind which slowed me down greatly.
